5 Beautiful Bookbinding-Themed Facebook Accounts to Follow This February

We return with five more Facebook accounts worth following if you are a book lover or bookbinder.

1. Susana Dominguez Martin — Encuadernacion de Arte

Susana is an acclaimed bookbinder and bookbinding teacher from Madrid, Spain. There three different feeds you may subscribe to if you would like to follow Susana’s work: personal Facebook account, professional account and school’s account.

2. Robert Wu — Robert Wu Studio

Robert is a bookbinder and paper marbler. He does his astonishing job at his studio in Toronto, Canada.

Robert has been marbling since 2000 and one of the techniques he follows is called “Marbled Graphics”.

3. Julie Auzillon

Bookbinder, and bookbinding blogger, Julie fills her Facebook feed with wonderful photos of inspiring bindings. You will find both the end product photos and some insights into the bookbinding process.

4. Mark Cockram — Studio 5

Mark has been working in London, UK, since 1992. His current Studio 5 is open since 2003. Mark was elected Fellow of Designer Bookbinders in 2001 and Brother of the Art Workers Guild in 2008. On his Facebook feed he often shares photos and live video streams from his studio.

5. Sherif Afifi

A conservator from Bibliotheca Alexandrina (Alexandria, Egypt), Sherif Afifi posts a lot about his work experience and has a nice collection of bookbinding and book conservation videos. Unfortunately, his YouTube account was disabled recently. But that only means that you will find lots of links to his videos on his new Vimeo account in the nearest time!
