Digitized Book of the Week: Objects of Art from the Museum Plantin-Moretus

The Plantin House in Antwerp holds a beautiful collection related to book history and history of printing. However, there are many more things there. Most of them have high historical and cultural value.

This album was published in 1925 by the city council of Antwerp to show the wide audience some additional treasures of the Museum Plantin-Moretus. It is in Dutch, but the descriptions are short enough, and most of them could be understood either with knowledge of the English language or with the use of automatic translation (the text in the book is available for copying after OCR.)

There are 36 illustrations in the book, including paintings, book covers and elements, drawings, and some illuminated initials from the collection of the Museum.

The full digital copy of the book is already available to our patrons at Patreon with pledges of $5 per month or more. You may also buy this book at Issuu. Any of these contributions will help to support iBookBinding.
