Just received my new member's welcoming package from the Stichting Handboekbinden - bookbinding guild of the Netherlands. I love every piece of it. In that small envelope, there are materials to make a small accordion book. And look at this small bonefolder!

We went to Belgium recently. Of course, I cannot miss anything related to books (especially old books). That's why when my wife and my grandfather went to see the Saint Bavo's Cathedral in Ghent, I spent an hour in the Saint Nicholas' Church. Where, as it appears, every second Saturday there is a book market.
In 2013, I signed up for my first bookbinding course. It was a general interest course that ran for 3 hours every Tuesday evening for 11 weeks. It was kind of a whim—I just thought it sounded cool. What I didn't realize at the time was that this course wasn't just my introduction to bookbinding...
It was my dream for several years to visit the Bookbinders' Fair in Sint-Niklaas (Belguim), and this April the dream came true. I had my personal stall there and it was even better than I thought it would be.

My absolute favorite reason for binding books (and never stopping) is that you can fully use your creative power. That’s something different in today’s world of desk and service work. I’m constantly in search for inspiration and ways to better serve the readers and followers of the blog. However, sometimes it is tough to keep all the things done in a timely manner.
