I have recorded five episodes of iBookBinding podcast to date, and four of them are already available for watching and listening on different platforms (find links below). I like the experience quite a lot and hope this podcast will last for quite a long time!
I plan to continue doing podcasts and I have a list of guests for at least several months. However, I see that the work on the podcast eats away most of my free time: besides recording, I have to spend hours on editing the videos.
Employing an Editor for the Videos
This made me to change one of the goals on our Patreon page. From now on, the $500-level goal reads:
Reaching the level of $500 per month will allow me to hire a video editor for our podcasts. Currently, I’m keeping a pace a making one episode per week. But that’s a time-consuming process, and I only can do editing on weekends.
I should say that at the current moment all monthly pledges are frozen and they will remain this way at least until September. I decided to do that during the months of lockdowns and epidemic along with opening the bookish book collection that earlier was available only to our patrons.
However, you still can join the crowd and become our patron at any moment. As far as I understand, the system will charge you once with your initial pledge. But as I said earlier, future pledges won’t be charged until some moment in the future (I will make a separate announcement when it changes.)
Questions from Patrons
The other thing that I’m considering, is to give priority to questions received from patrons over all other questions. With every next podcast, we get more and more questions and it may become quite impossible to answer all of them within the format of our podcast.
I guess we will still provide written answers to the questions, but we will prioritize the questions from our patrons (pledges start with only $1 per month.)
I’d be glad to see your thoughts on the podcast and who can be our next guests!
