Digitized Book of The Week: The Third Volume of the Descamps-Scrive Library Catalog

This week’s scanned book is the third volume of the catalog of the library of René Descamps-Scrive. Last week I posted some excerpts from the first two volumes of the same catalog.

Here are 12 out of approximately 100 illustrations depicting bindings from the collection. I also added scans and photographs of the outer elements of the book and the marbled endpapers for both tomes (my three volumes of the catalog are bound in two hardcover books in half-leather.)

And some of the outer book elements, including the marbledendpapers:

I’ll try to add as much information about the illustrations as I can – check the single photos to see the descriptions.

As usual, the whole scanned book is already available to our patrons at Patreon (for pledges of $5 per month and more): https://www.patreon.com/ibookbinding
