There are many different steps involved in the book restoration process. Some of them are about doing something with the book, during others specialists are cataloging and preserving information about the book for future use and research.
After a proper documentation of the book’s specifications, book is disassembled, cleaned and washed. Holes and tears are mended. And then the book is rebound. However, that’s only an abridged version of what’s really happening with the book. Check the video below for more!
