How Zaansch Bord Paper is Made with Windmill Power

I’ve been to the Netherlands several times, but still never used my chance to visit Zaan mills. Maybe next time I would plan my trip better. This place is full of history and, by the way, there is paper production there.

This paper is produced in different colors and is quite popular amongst bookbindinders in Western Europe and all over the world.

By the way, I found some claims [1] [2], that the first drafts of the United States Declaration of Independence were written on Zaansch bord! At least you can easily find information that they were written on what most likely appears to be paper of Dutch origin.
